Earlier this Summer, I had the pleasure of hosting my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary celebration, along with my MR and sis and brother-in-love, on Saturday, July 11th (their actual anniversary). We were fortunate enough to have friends and family attend from their newlywed years to their fab retired life in Florida. I feel so blessed to have been raised by such loving people; they set a great example for my sister and I. So, of course everything had to be perfect for the party!
I had such a great time creating a custom wedding anniversary invitation suite for my parents. My mother is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and my parents got married right out of college, so of course her wedding colors were pink and green – her sorority colors! We were having a little garden party in our backyard, just a little fancy, and I wanted to create an invitation suite that would help set the tone for the event we were planning. And since it was their 50th wedding anniversary, my sister rightly pointed out that we should incorporate the color gold into our theme. I used lots of pink and green in the decor with pops of gold to signify that this was their golden anniversary. To make things more festive, we asked everyone to wear pink and green. It was such a great day and fun party, if I do say so myself, but being the hostess with the mostest can wear on a gal … I needed about a week to recover!
I love helping people make the ideas in their heads come to fruition whether its by creating a custom invitation suite for a special event, a logo that exemplifies their brand or the whole kit and kaboodle by helping companies to create brand and marketing strategies.
