So, this happened...

So, this happened...

Recently, I had the opportunity to talk with The Washington Post about the pandemic, the Black Lives Matter movement and what it's like to be both a brand and an influencer during this time in history.  I have to be honest, showing up every day and knowing what to say and how to say it over the past 3+ months has been hard. At the outset of the pandemic, like you, I was feeling all the feels – anxiety, stress and malaise. Clearly, it was not business as usual ... so, I decided to just be me, and share what I could that I thought would be uplifting, helpful and on some days just what was on my heart. And then the bandaid that was barely holding race relations together in this country was ripped off. I was stunned into silence. But, once I regained my equilibrium, I began to speak my truth as a Black woman in this country.⁣

I grew up in a family that believed if you don't stand for something you'll fall for anything. Being singled out as an influencer navigating this time period authentically by The Washington Post means that I've done my family proud.⁣
Just wanted to share .... thanks for reading!
