When Should You Send Your Holiday Cards?

The holidays are around the corner! Yikes?!?!?! Can you believe that Thanksgiving is next week? ….. If you haven’t ordered your holiday photo cards yet, you should try to get them ordered next weekend to ensure that they arrive to you by the beginning of December.

December often goes by so quickly that it seems like the month is over before you have time to blink!  There are some who are so on top of the holidays that their Thanksgiving weekend is spent sending out their holiday cards out and wrapping gifts.  For the rest of us who aren’t as organized, here are a few tips to make sure that your holiday cards don’t get lost in the shuffle.

• The earliest you should send your holiday cards out is one month in advance.  The latest? One week before to ensure they arrive before the actual holiday.
• If you have children, sending a holiday photo card is a great way for friends and family to see your kids progress over time.
• If your holiday cards have your name printed on them, it’s not essential to write a note to personalize it – but, a hand-written note is always nice!
• If getting your holiday cards out before the holiday proves to be too stressful, fret not – send Happy New Year cards instead!
• Return address labels or printed envelopes are a HUGE time saver when it comes to stuffing and addressing your holiday cards.
